The fastest path: delete in the app
If you can sign in to the 555 Notebook Android app, you can delete your account directly:
- Open the app and sign in.
- Go to Profile (top-right) → Delete account.
- Confirm with your password (email accounts) or re-authenticate with Google (Google sign-in accounts).
The deletion runs immediately and the app signs you out.
If you can't access the app
If you've uninstalled the app, lost device access, or can't sign in for any reason, send a deletion request by email:

From: the email address registered on your 555 Notebook account
Please include in the body:
- Confirmation that you want your account deleted
- (Optional) the trip names you remember, to help us locate the account if your email has changed
We respond within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days of receiving the request.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted:
- Personal data is removed: your name is replaced with "Deleted User", your email is anonymized, your password and Google account link are cleared, and your profile photo is deleted from our storage.
- Trips you owned alone (with no other members) are deleted entirely, including their receipts and receipt images.
- Push tokens, notifications, and unused credits tied to your account are deleted.
What stays — and why
If you participated in trips with other people, the financial records of those trips are preserved — your past expenses, splits, and settlements remain visible to other trip members. This is intentional: deleting the data would silently change everyone else's balance and break trip integrity for the people who relied on it.
Your name on those records is replaced with the placeholder "Deleted User"; no other identifying information remains.
Before you delete
You may want to export your data first. Open the app → Profile → Export my data, or contact us by email and we'll send you a copy.
Backup retention
Database backups are retained for up to 30 days. After backup expiry, all traces of your personal data — including in archived backups — are gone.
