Just snap a photo of your receipt. Our AI model reads the merchant name, individual items, quantities, prices, and the total. It supports multilingual receipts and automatically translates item names to English. Scanning costs 1 credit. As with all AI features, results may occasionally contain errors — we recommend verifying extracted items.
Most apps do equal splits. 555 Notebook uses claim-based splitting — each person taps on exactly which items they consumed. This means if you only had a coffee while your friend ordered a burger and fries, you only pay for your coffee. Unclaimed items are auto-split among everyone.
Yes! Your trip data is cached locally so you can view balances, receipts, and expenses without internet. When you're back online, everything syncs automatically. An offline banner appears to let you know when you're disconnected.
We support 154 ISO 4217 currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, SGD, THB, MYR, and many more. Each trip has its own currency, making it perfect for international travel.
Absolutely. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), passwords are hashed with bcrypt, and authentication tokens are securely stored. We don't sell your data. You can delete your account and identifying information at any time; anonymized financial records in shared trips remain so other members' balances stay correct. See our Privacy Policy for details.
You get 10 free credits when you sign up. Credits are used for creating trips (1 credit), scanning receipts with AI (1 credit), and duplicating trips (1 credit). Everything else — manual receipts, expenses, settlements, and joining trips — is completely free. Top-up starts at $1.00 for 10 credits, with bulk discounts up to 20% off on larger packages.
